Striving Forward

Our Shark Shore room is an inviting and friendly environment where the children feel comfortable. We strive to maintain a happy place for our little ones to choose their activities freely. Our room is bright and colourful enticing our children to explore their environment. We have lots of areas they can explore e.g., they can play with the shop / shopping trolleys in our role play areas as well as the kitchen and dolls house. They can also dress us – nothing like doing your shopping looking like a princess! 

Small world play is a huge favourite with the children. They love to play with cars, trucks, trains etc. They often bring these to the tuff trays where a track can be used. We try to maintain our tuff trays, so they relate to our theme of the week. 

Our quiet corner is popular too. It’s a cosy retreat if quiet time is preferred. Cushions, bean bags and blankets are available should a child want to snuggle down for a while and gather their thoughts. We have a vast range of story / picture books to capture their imagination. 

Construction toys are another favourite. Lots of tower building goes on in our Shark Room using Lego and Duplo blocks.
