Turtle Tides is for children aged 2 years. Children from Jelly Jetties who are soon to turn 2 will start to have transitions to ensure that they are ready to transfer, this is when they get to know the staff and the new areas that they will be playing in. 

Within Turtle Tides we work towards the Foundation Phase and look at a range of areas of development. Some of the area’s that we look at are Language & Literacy, Mathematics, Personal & Social, Physical Development and many more. We ensure that all children have some range of physical activity or outdoor play twice a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, outdoor play is vital for children’s development. We do different activities with our SKIP bag (Successful Kinaesthetic Instruction for Pre-School) and this looks at all areas of the children’s physical development and which stage they are at for example throwing and kicking a ball. 

Turtle Tides has different areas such as a craft area, a language area, a cosy corner, a home corner and much more. This is a large room, and the children love to explore with their friends.
